Lisa is Taranaki's very own ultra marathoner who has recently completed the Badwater Ultramarathon through Death Valley California on 14 - 16 July 2008. She is the first New Zealand woman to attempt the challenge. To date only two New Zealand men have finished the race: Max Telford in 1982 and Kym McConnell in 2004.
CLICK TO VIEW WEBSITELisa completed an apprenticeship as a goldsmith in Austria and ran her own business exporting Paua Pearls from NZ to Europe and Japan before running her own wholesale and retail manufacturing jewellery business in Austria.
At the beginning of 2007 Lisa returned home to NZ from Austra and now runs her own designer Jewellery and Art shop in New Plymouth.
